Sven Voss

Sven Voss (born June 28, 1976 in Daun ) is a German sports and television presenter .

Life

In 1995 Voss finished his school career with the Abitur at the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium Daun . He then did his community service with the rescue service of the German Red Cross in Daun. From 1996 to 1997 he completed a traineeship at regional television Middle Rhine. From 1998 he studied politics and education at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn .

Voss then worked as an editor for the radio station 1LIVE , before joining the editorial team for the children's news program logo! changed. Here he also stood in front of the camera as a reporter for the first time. He later presented other children's programs such as “Stark - Children Tell Their Story” and “LIMIT” for ZDF .

Since 2004 he has been a member of the sports department of ZDF and moderated the bobsleigh and toboggan world cups as part of “ZDF Wintersport extra” . In 2006 he also hosted the Tour de France . In 2007 he changed departments and from then on moderated all ZDF ski jumping broadcasts, including the Four Hills Tournament . Since 2007, Voss has moderated the sports section in the news program today and in the ZDF midday magazine . He has also been the permanent presenter of all ZDF broadcasts in women's football since 2007 . During the 2006 soccer World Cup in Germany, he hosted the ZDF programs Hallo Deutschland and Drehscheibe Deutschland . He also worked as a reporter for the ZDF team at the 2006, 2008 and 2010 Olympic Games . In 2011, he succeeded Wolf-Dieter Poschmann as the presenter of the current sports studio . In 2013 and 2014 he moderated the DFL Supercup , replacing Katrin Müller-Hohenstein in this task. In October 2015, the ZDF announced that Voss would quit his activity as moderator of the ski jumping broadcasts in order to concentrate on the "current sports studio". His successor in this task was Norbert König .

In addition to ZDF, Voss has also been working for MDR television since 2005 , where he presents the knowledge program “Echt - Das Magazin zum Staunen” every second Tuesday. In January 2015 he replaced Marco Schreyl as the moderator of the MDR report Lebensretter .

Sven Voss has been an ambassador for the non-profit organization Bildung-Kickt GmbH since 2014. Since 2017 he has been the sponsor of the Hermann Hesse School in Obertshausen in the Offenbach district as part of the “School without Racism - School with Courage” campaign .

Sven Voss is married and lives in Wiesbaden with his wife, daughter and son .
