Edscha structure

Typical semi-trailer with Edscha body

The Edscha body is a special body for trailers and semi-trailers that are pulled by trucks (see also articulated lorries ). It was developed by Eduard Scharwächter and has been adopted as a technical term in the industry-specific language.

In contrast to the conventional tautliner , with the Edscha body, when the tarpaulin is opened, both sides of the roof are pushed forwards or backwards. This enables particularly simple loading and unloading, especially with crane systems and with limited height, e.g. B. in warehouses.

Other designs are z. B.
