Edward Tarleton (Mayor 1712-1713)

Edward Tarleton was an English merchant and mayor of Liverpool .

Life

Edward Tarleton was one of the two sons of the merchant Edward Tarleton from his first marriage.

He was mayor of Liverpool from 1712 to 1713. His father had already held this position 30 years earlier.

Edward Tarleton had three daughters. The merchant, shipowner and mayor John Tarleton is a grandson of his older brother John (1650-1721).
