Eesti Julgeolekupolitsei yes SD
The Eesti Julgeolekupolitsei ja SD ( Estonian Security Police and SD ) was part of the National Socialist apparatus of repression in the occupied territory of Estonia between 1942 and 1944.
The leader of the Einsatzkommando 1a , Martin Sandberger , designed a structure that was unique in German-occupied Europe, in which the Eesti Julgeolekupolitsei ja SD was divided into two groups: Group A with departments I-V consisted of German, group B with corresponding departments consisted of Estonian staff. Both groups wore the same uniform and the Estonian staff took part in training at the Central Security Police Office .
The Estonian personnel were not prosecuted after the war , rather numerous members of the Eesti Julgeolekupolitsei ja SD were recruited by western secret services to work against the Soviet Union .
