A placement fee or just a placement fee is a fee that is charged when an item is stored in one place for a fee.

This can apply to vehicles, animals in stables or packages that have been stored for a long time. The term is also used on the Internet when certain content is published on a server for a fee, for example on real estate portals or by Internet auction houses. Setting fees are usually also charged for apps.

In connection with motor vehicle workshops, there is the concept of so-called customary parking fees which are due according to the general terms and conditions of many workshops if a car is not picked up, for example after a repair or purchase.
