The Railway Amateur , abbreviated EA , is the railway trade journal that has been published by the Swiss Association of Railway Amateurs , or SVEA for short , since 1947 . The subtitle is role model and model - since 1947 .
The monthly magazine, with a printed circulation of 9,000 copies, primarily publishes topics about Swiss railways, but also about model railways . The contributions are written by volunteers.
In addition, the magazine is the official magazine of the clubs organized in the Swiss Association of Railway Amateurs and can be obtained from them at a reduced price. Various articles appear in both German and French , some only in French.
