The LOKI is a Swiss model railway - magazine . The subtitle is the Swiss magazine for model railroad enthusiasts . According to its own statements, it is considered to be the leading model railway magazine in Switzerland. It is published by the Stämpfli Verlag in Wabern near Bern .
The monthly magazine, with a printed circulation of 16,000 copies, primarily publishes topics on the subject of model railways , but also on Swiss railways . Of these, 9,130 copies are notarized and sold through subscriptions and individual sales. The editorial team consists of two salaried and several freelance editors. In principle, at LOKI , as with other specialist journals, anyone can submit contributions for an appropriate fee.
In addition, the LOKI publishes two annual calendars on Swiss railways and on model railways as well as sporadic special editions. The last two special editions are as of 2018: LOKI America No. 1, Modellisenbahn - The American Way and LOKI Spezial No. 46, Die Berner Dekretsmühlen.
The LOKI magazine is the successor magazine to the monthly magazine Die Modell-Eisenbahn with the subtitle Der Schweizer Zeitschrift für die Modellbahnfreund and the railway magazine initiated by Christian Zellweger , abbreviated EZ , with the subtitle Schweizer Eisenbahn-Zeitschrift Vorbild & Model . Christian Zellweger publishes Semaphor magazine today .
