Bentschen railway accident

In the Bentschen railway accident on December 28, 1915 , a holiday train coming from Berlin derailed at Bentschen station (today: Zbąszyń , Poland ) . 23 people died.

the accident

The holiday train came from Berlin, drove through the station at excessive speed and derailed as a result. Due to the secrecy of such events during the First World War , information on this accident is thin. There is no information on why the train was moving too fast.

consequences

23 soldiers died and 47 were also injured. In addition, there was high property damage.
