Iron cow
The Eisenkuh or Immerkuh was an agreement between the creditor and the debtor in southern Germany , in which a cow was leased against (perpetual) pension payments. The levy that corresponded to the value of such use (in the form of natural produce or money) was also referred to as the iron cow. It was a form of pension purchase .
