Ice spur

As ice horn , regional as ice spur or iceHorn designates a triangular, spur-like projection or a ship constructional part is the aft Steven of a ship, respectively.

It is used to protect the ship's steering gear from unbroken and broken ice, especially when reversing. The ice spur should preferably be in the construction waterline .
