Ekkehard Kiesewetter

Ekkehard Kiesewetter (born February 1934 in Magdeburg ) is a German actor and director, primarily at theaters in Thuringia.

Kiesewetter passed his Abitur in 1953 and studied acting at the Leipzig Theater Academy from 1953 to 1956 , where he also worked as a lecturer in the 1970s and 1980s. After engagements in Gera (until 1963) and Weimar (until 1974), he moved to the Städtische Bühnen Erfurt in 1974 , where he worked as an actor, director and theater director until 1992. He is in charge of pieces with national broadcasts, including the GDR premiere of Bertolt Brechts Baal (1982). Kiesewetter lives in Weimar.
