El Guarco
El Guarco is a canton in the Costa Rican province of Cartago with 43,415 inhabitants (2013). The canton has a total area of 167.69 km² and includes the northern foothills of the Cordillera de Talamanca and the southern suburbs of the city of Cartago. The capital of the canton is El Tejar . It is located about two kilometers southwest of Cartago. About 65% of the canton's population live in Tejar.
