Electrifying machine

An electrifying device is an electrically operated device that is suitable for creating a flow of current through a person without harming them. In principle it is a high-resistance, adjustable transformer . Already Thomas Alva Edison jr. developed such a device.

By 1900 doctors were of the opinion that electrification was healthy. A variety of devices emerged, including for home use. Most of them worked for a while after inserting coins. Even today, such devices are set up at annual fairs , which, after inserting coins, allow a steadily increasing current to flow through the test person and make a statement on a scale about their physical strength.
