Elisabeth Dommer

Elisabeth Dommer (* 1951 in Altenburg ) is a German author .

Career

Elisabeth Dommer wrote stories as a child, later for many years alongside her work as a primary school teacher and as a cultural worker in the field of amateur art. After a distance learning at the Leipzig Literature Institute, she published her first book in 1988. She has been a freelance writer since 1996, specializing in children's literature and fiction. There was collaboration with DEFA and the Gewandhaus Children's Choir Leipzig; She also created a German-language libretto for the Ukrainian rock opera "Äneas" (concert performance in excerpts 2005). She is a member of the Association of German Writers (VS), Regional Association of Thuringia and has received work grants from the Thuringian Ministry of Culture. Elisabeth Dommer lives in Altenburg.
