Elm Super Trail
The Elm Super Trail is an ultramarathon that runs around the Elm every May . The route is 71 km long and has an altitude of 1340 meters . The start and finish is Warberg Castle in Warberg . The running event is organized by the non-profit association Friends For Life from Braunschweig , which combines endurance and extreme sports with social commitment .
The 71 km route, which can also be completed as a bike and run , circles the Elm and leads through the Reitlingstal . Most of it runs on forest paths. Part of the route leads along the edge of the forest, but also through the wooded ridge.
As part of the running event, further running distances are offered, such as 10 km with 175 meters of altitude, 25 km with 400 meters of altitude and 52 km with 880 meters of altitude. There are also four-person teams of 10 km each.
The Elm Super Trail first took place in 2011. 230 starters took part in 2019.
