Elrod House

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Elrod House was built in 1968 by the American architect John Lautner in Palm Springs (California) . The building was commissioned by the interior designer Arthur Elrod.

The flowing, organic shape of the building and the round living space with a diameter of 18 meters are striking. This is spanned by a dome-shaped ceiling made of several concrete slabs.

Parts of the house can also be seen in the 1971 James Bond film Diamond Fever .
