Emelie Petz

Emelie Petz (born March 24, 2003 in Allmersbach im Tal ) is a German gymnast.

Career

Emelie Petz attracted attention as a young gymnast. Between 2015 and 2018 she won a total of 15 German Junior Championships. At the youth championships in 2017 in Berlin and 2018 in Unterhaching, she dominated with gold in five disciplines each.

In 2019, at the age of 16, she took part in the adult gymnastics world championships for the first time. There she showed for the first time the Petz finish named after her on the uneven bars.

  • 2019 German Championships: Silver on the vault and on the balance beam; Bronze on the uneven bars.

Others

Petz is a student at a secondary school. She trains at the Kunst-Turn-Forum Stuttgart under Robert Mai, Elena Dolgopolova and Marie Luise Probst-Hindermann.
