Emmanuel Lombardos
Emmanuel Lombardos ( Greek Εμμανουήλ Λομβάρδος Emmanouil Lomvardos , also Λαμπάρδο Lambardo ) was a Greek painter of the 17th century. He is also credited with the works signed Ieremia Pallada (Ιερεμία Παλλαδά).
Lombardos lived on Crete until the end of Venetian rule and then fled to Kefalonia with Theodoros Poulakis , Emmanuel Tzanes and Illias Moschos . They are considered to be important representatives of the Cretan school . Little is known about Lombardos, however; unlike his colleagues, he only turned to Western art temporarily.
