The Interior Football Club is a sports club from West Serrekunda in the West African state of Gambia , the largest city in the country. The club is best known for its soccer teams.
Team of men
The men's team plays in the highest league in Gambian football, the GFA League First Division , and after relegation after the 2006 season to the GFA League Second Division, it was promoted again for the 2008 season after one year. The 2008 season was not successfully finished with twelfth place, so the relegation to the second division takes place.
The Interior FC first appeared in the 2002 season, when they were playing in the second division. They are trained by Ebrima Manneh.
Team of women
The Interior FC women's team has been one of the dominant teams in the Gambian first division since around 2007. In 2007, 2009, 2015, 2016 and 2017 the team won the championship.
The trainer has been Mariama Sowe since 2005 , who was a goalkeeper at Interior before taking over the post and who also trains the Gambian national soccer team for women . Previously, Pa Dodou Sarr was the coach. Babucarr Kojo Tamoh was co-trainer from 2005 to at least 2011 .

(Beach volleyball
The club also has a volleyball and beach volleyball department .
In 2014, the women's volleyball team won both the league championship and the cup competitions for the sixth time in a row. In beach volleyball, Fatoumatta M. Ceesay and Mariama Ginadou won the championship in the final against Gambia Armed Forces in 2018/19 . Marie Wadda played for Interior and the national team and later took over the coaching position for both teams. Aminata Gaye not only played for the national soccer team, but also competed in beach volleyball in international tournaments.
For the men, Ebrima Nyass was used in the national beach volleyball team.
