The Armed Forces Football Club ( Gambia Armed Forces , often abbreviated as Armed Forces ) is a sports club founded in 1989 from Banjul , the capital of the West African state of Gambia . The club is best known for its football department.

Team of men

The men's team plays in the GFA League First Division , the highest league in Gambian football, and was last national champion in the 2016/17 season. The team is the team of the Gambia Armed Forces , the Gambian armed forces .

The team qualified for the CAF Champions League in 2004, 2005, 2010 and 2018 .

The club also has a volleyball and beach volleyball department .

In the women's beach volleyball field, Abie Kujabi and Saffie Sawaneh won the national championships twice in a row (2014, 2017). In 2018/19 Kujabi and her team partner Nyima Demba lost to Fatoumatta M. Ceesay and Mariama Ginadou ( Interior ) in the final in February 2019 .

The men's team won beach volleyball championships in 2017. Ebrima Jatta was used in the national team.
