Mariama Ginadou (born October 29, 2002 ) is a Gambian beach volleyball player .

Career

Ginadou first played football at City Girls FC when she was 14 , because her father played football and her mother was also interested in the sport. A little later, however, she switched to volleyball. Ginadou has been playing at Interior since at least 2015 .

In July 2018 she started together with Fatoumatta Sillah (Brikama Volleyball Club) as a U18 team at the African Youth Games 2018 . This was the first international appearance of a Gambian junior team.

Ginadou won the Gambian championship together with Fatoumatta Ceesay in the 2018/19 season. They defeated Abie Kujabi , who had previously won twice in a row (2014, 2016/17), and her team partner Nyima Demba (Gambia Armed Forces).

At the World Beach Games 2019 in October, she finished fifth in 4x4 beach volleyball with the team consisting of Abie Kujabi , Fatoumatta Ceesay , Amie Gaye , Sainabou Tambedou and Anna Marie Bojang .
