The 2009 season of the GFA League First Division of the Gambian Football Championship took place between February 20, 2009 and May 23, 2009. Twelve teams played for the title, which the Armed Forces Football Club was able to win for the second time. The bottom of the table Africell Football Club and Tallinding United had to relegate .
