Lea Korte

Lea Korte (born June 2, 1963 in Frankfurt am Main ; actually Sylvia Ungeheuer ) is a German writer. She writes historical novels .

Life

Lea Korte started writing stories at an early age. After she had written three women's novels and a development novel under a different pseudonym , she turned to the historical novel. In 1996 The Nun with the Sword appeared , in which she dealt with the life of Catalina de Erauso , who was born in the 17th century , and in 2010 the novel The Maurin , in which she tells the last 15 years of the Spanish Reconquista based on the life of Zarah as-Sulami . In 2011 she published a romance novel for the first time: Summer Night in Mallorca: A Love Story, a contemporary novel in which two historical figures also play a role: George Sand and Frédéric Chopin . Another historical novel by her was published in December 2012: "The secret of the Maurin".

Lea Korte is a member of the authors' associations Quo vadis , DeLiA and Montsegur.

Korte has four children.

She lives in Spain and Germany.
