The Brikama United Football Club is a football club from Brikama in the West African state of Gambia , the second largest city in the country. The club plays in the highest league in Gambian football, in the GFA League First Division . They were promoted to the First Division in the 2009 season and became champions in the 2011 season.

history

The Brikama United appeared for the first time in the 2004 season when they participated in the GFA Cup and rose to the GFA League Second Division . The club was trained in 2008 by the coach Lamin Kah Bojang.

With the 2009 season they were promoted to the First Division and then became Gambian champions in the 2011 season. With this they will participate in the CAF Champions League 2012 . With this success, they were the first club since the championship was held that does not come from the Greater Banjul Area , i.e. the region around the capital Banjul.
