The Young Africans Football Club is a football club from Banjul , the capital of the West African state of Gambia . The club played in the top league in Gambian football for the first time in the 1978/79 season. In 2010 the club played in the second division, in 2011 they were promoted back to the GFA League First Division . The club's greatest success was winning the 2009 cup competition ( GFA-Cup ).
