Metta Sanneh (born February 10, 1998 ) is a Gambian soccer player .

Life

At the age of five she played with the support of her father in Makasutu near Brikama in the boys' team. She was the only girl on the team and was the captain for several years. She later graduated from the Technical High School Bottrop.

Around 2012 she played for Makasutu FC . She has played for Interior FC at least since the beginning of 2016 .

National team

In 2012 she was part of the U-17 selection that qualified for the U-17 Women's World Cup in Azerbaijan . The team lost all three group games significantly and was bottom of the group.

In January 2014, she was scheduled as a player for the Gambian women's national soccer team in a friendly match against Guinea Bissau , which was canceled at short notice, as was a friendly against Cape Verde in August 2017.

In qualifying for the Africa Cup of Women in 2018 , she was in the first and second round for the Gambian team. The team was eliminated in the second round against Nigeria , which later won the title.
