The term en femme is a lexical borrowing of the modern French expression en femme ("as a woman "). It is used in the transgender , transvestite , and cross-dressing communities to describe wearing feminine clothing or expressing a stereotypically feminine personality. Most cross-dressers also use a feminine name while dressed feminine; that is her "femme name". Many transgender organizations organize events en femme , such as B. Holidays and cruises (around three times a year, Holiday En Femme ).

EnFemme is also the name of a cross-dresser magazine published between 1987 and 1991.
