Enchanting
Enchanting is a BYOB ( Build Your Own Blocks ) based and Scratch- inspired development environment that allows the Lego Mindstorms NXT to be programmed. A leJOS firmware is required for this.
Enchanting adopted the simple, intuitive way of programming from Scratch. Originally developed by MIT for children aged eight and over, very good successes can also be observed with five to six year olds. There are no syntax errors , as you can only attach the individual blocks, like Lego, where it is allowed and makes sense. Thus, the child can experience immediate successes with almost no frustration. Concurrency and object orientation can be experienced intuitively .
