Endoprosthetics Center

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An EndoProthetikZentrum (EPZ) is a medical center where operations on large joints are performed.

Endoprosthetic centers are subject to regular controls by an independent certification company. Only clinics that meet extensive quality requirements are certified . You can be certified as a base center or a center of maximum care . The certification of medical facilities for joint replacement is the result of the EndoCert initiative of the DGOOC , the Endoprosthetics Working Group and the professional association of specialists in orthopedics and trauma surgery.

The endoprosthetic replacement of the hip and knee joint is one of the most frequently performed procedures. By concentrating the services in centers for joint replacement surgery, the quality of treatment and the long-term treatment results should be improved.
