Endomondo is a mobile sports software for smartphones or tablet computers with GPS sensors, which allows participants to start a training recording and route tracking and then evaluate it via the website www.endomondo.com. Endomondo was founded in 2007.

In February 2015, Endomondo was acquired by Under Armor for $ 85 million. Endomondo currently has around 20 million users.

Training record

Endomondo records the training route, distance, duration and consumption using GPS data.

financing

Endomondo is available in a free and a paid version. The free version is financed through activated advertising, while the licensed version is ad-free and offers additional options for training planning. Both versions can be downloaded for Android or iOS operating systems.

Competitions

Endomondo organizes a competition platform so extensively because participants can compare, but not a direct challenge via tables. A further development of a similar app with a clear competitive character and comparison tables can be found in the Strava app .
