Enrichment Technology

Enrichment Technology is a high-tech company that designs, manufactures, and installs gas centrifuges for uranium enrichment that are used in facilities that enrich uranium for nuclear reactors . In addition, Enrichment Technology is planning complete uranium enrichment plants based on gas centrifuge technology, currently the most efficient uranium enrichment process. Around 2000 employees work at Enrichment Technology at seven locations in England, the Netherlands, Germany, the USA and France.

history

Enrichment Technology was founded in 2003 as part of an organizational reorganization of the URENCO Group and is registered in Great Britain. In 2006 the business structure was changed; the company was converted into a joint venture between AREVA (now Orano) and URENCO and has been an independent company ever since.

Corporate structure

Enrichment Technology is a joint venture between URENCO and AREVA . They each hold 50 percent of the shares. The modern gas centrifuge technology is supplied exclusively to URENCO and AREVA or their subsidiaries . Enrichment Technology is divided into the following business areas:

  • Research and development of gas centrifuge technology
  • Manufacture of centrifuges and cascade piping
  • Planning of enrichment plants, management of plant construction projects

The company's head office is in Almelo , the Netherlands. Enrichment Technology currently operates subsidiaries in five countries:

  • In the Netherlands: head office and largest production site
  • In the UK: Plant Design and Project Management Center
  • In Germany: production site and center for research and development
  • In France: project manufacturing site
  • In the USA: project manufacturing facility
