Enrique Anleu Díaz

Enrique Anleu Díaz (* 1940 in Guatemala City ) is a Guatemalan composer , musicologist and ethnomusicologist .

Anleu graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas and studied music in Argentina. He founded artist groups such as the Círculo Valenti and Grupo Vértebra and was a guest conductor of the Orquestra Sinfonica Nacional de Guatemala . In addition, he works as a researcher at the Centro de Estudios Folklóricos (CEFOL) of the Universidad de San Carlos of Guatemala and teaches harmony and composition.
