Epicaste (wife of Agamedes)
Epicaste ( Greek Ἐπικάστη ) is a person of Greek mythology . She is the wife of the famous architect Agamedes in Arcadia . With this she has the children Trophonis and Kerkyon in Stymphalos .
As Agamedes with his sons the Treasury of Augean stole, he was caught in a snare, and lost his life. In order not to be discovered, Trophonis cut off his father's head and fled with brother Kerkyon.
