The epitaph for Anna Catharina Johanna Steeben is one of 14 epitaphs of the Uffkirche in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt . The inner epitaph is dedicated to Anna Catharina Johanna Steeben, who died at the age of 23 months. The three-part epitaph consists of the main panel with the relief of a kneeling, praying girl in front of Christ crucified on Golgotha, an inscription panel and a gable top.

description

The wall epitaph is attached to the right side of the north wall. The main panel of the three-part epitaph shows a relief that rests on a flat console plate, is flanked by 2 side panels decorated with scrollwork and ends with a multi-level architrave.

The relief image consists of an arched field with the bas-relief of a hilly landscape, from which the Golgotha hill with a skull protrudes semi-plastically on the right. On the hill there is a high cross with the sculptural figure of the crucified. Facing the cross, with a skull at her feet, a praying young woman in a floor-length dress kneels on the left side on a stone block.

The hanging relief under the main panel, decorated with scrollwork, bears the memorial inscription for the deceased girl. On the top of the gable, two coats of arms with family coats of arms flank a round medallion with a three-dimensional protruding male head between 2 bars ("Steeben").
