Market value of equity

The market value of equity , value of the equity , equity value , market price of the equity ( English equity value ) of a company is the value of the equity , expressed as a market value (i.e., regardless of its book value ). The equity value is therefore the part of the company's value ( Engl. Enterprise Value ) of the shareholders entitled or shareholders.

For listed companies, the equity value can be calculated using the market capitalization . Deviations may arise if the company has issued other equity instruments or rights in addition to shares.
