History of origin
In 1991, the municipality of Rodenbach invited schoolgirls from the stone carving class of the master craft school in Kaiserslautern to design a sculpture path in Rodenbach. Headmasters, subject teachers and sponsors helped realize the project. The themes chosen for the works were motifs with a local reference, water or Celtic history. In 2003, the artist Ludwig Grub , who lived in Rodenbach for many years , created the Summstein (sculpture path , item 2) and the Rodenbacher Tümpelkriecher at the village pond (sculpture path , item 3); likewise the fountain in the Rathausstrasse, where former cattle troughs are used.
