The Verbandsgemeinde Weilerbach is an administrative unit in the legal form of a regional authority in the district of Kaiserslautern in Rhineland-Palatinate . The municipality has eight independent local churches at the administrative headquarters are in the eponymous municipality Weilerbach .

- 2005 – today: Anja Pfeiffer, CDU (when she was inaugurated at the age of 25, the youngest female mayor in Germany)
Anja Pfeiffer was confirmed in a run-off election on June 23, 2013 with a share of the vote of 51.54% for a further eight years after none of the original three applicants achieved a sufficient majority in the direct election on June 21, 2013.

US Army
The association community is shaped by the stationing of US soldiers in nearby Ramstein . In addition to the approximately 14,000 inhabitants, there are around 5,000 Americans, both soldiers and civilian employees such as teachers and doctors.
Infrastructure
From 1912 to 1996, the Bachbahn ran through the area of the Verbandsgemeinde from the Lampertsmühle-Otterbach station to Weilerbach - from 1920 to Reichenbach, which has since been closed.
