The Verbandsgemeinde Bruchmühlbach-Miesau is an administrative unit in the legal form of a regional authority in the district of Kaiserslautern in Rhineland-Palatinate . The association community consists of five independent local communities , the administrative seat is in the eponymous community of Bruchmühlbach-Miesau .

history
The Verbandsgemeinde Bruchmühlbach-Miesau came into force on April 22, 1972 as part of the Rhineland-Palatinate functional and territorial reform started in the 1960s on the basis of the "Thirteenth State Law on Administrative Simplification in the State of Rhineland-Palatinate" of March 1, 1972 1972, newly formed. Previously, the administrative structures originating from the Palatinate (Bavaria) (1816–1946) essentially applied in the then administrative district of Palatinate .
In connection with the municipal administrative reform planned by the state government, a survey of residents and a referendum took place on August 30, 2015 .
In the resident survey, those eligible to vote in the municipalities belonging to the association were asked to vote on two questions:
- "Should the community of Bruchmühlbach-Miesau speak out against the incorporation into the community of Ramstein-Miesenbach in the course of the territorial reform process ?" (Result 67.55% yes-votes)
- "If you speak out against the incorporation into the community of Ramstein-Miesenbach, should the community of Bruchmühlbach-Miesau speak out in the further process of territorial reform to the state parliament and the state government in favor of maintaining the independence of the community of Bruchmühlbach-Miesau?" (Result 96.78% Yes votes; turnout 37.5%)
In the referendum, the question was:
- "Should the community of Bruchmühlbach-Miesau speak out against the merger with the municipalities of Waldmohr and Schönenberg-Kübelberg in the further process of territorial reform ?" (Result: 83.67% yes-votes)

The blazon of the coat of arms reads: "In a shield border divided eight times by black and gold or red and silver, on a silver three-mountain, in it five black bolls 2: 1: 2, split by a silver thread of black and red, on the right a red-armored and - Golden lion with tongues, on the left a silver lion with blue and tongued tongues, facing each other. "
The coat of arms was approved by the Neustadt district government in 1979 .
