Erhard Asmus

Erhard Asmus (born October 1, 1907 in Rendsburg ; † June 29, 1978 there ) was a German author of Low German comedies .

After attending middle school , Asmus went to sea as a cabin boy and rose to become a ship officer . Due to an eye injury, he ended his service as a seaman , moved back to his hometown Rendsburg in 1933 and started a position at the municipal utility. Erhard Asmus was an actor at the Niederdeutsche Bühne Rendsburg from 1935 to 1950 and founded his own Low German ensemble with the Rendsburger Speeldeel in 1950 , to which he belonged until 1955. In 1950 he began to write his own plays, which are still regularly performed on well-known theaters such as the Ohnsorg Theater .
