Declaration of the duties and rights of journalists

The declaration of the duties and rights of journalists are the journalistic and ethical rules of the Swiss Press Council . They are supplemented by the guidelines.

The declaration was adopted in December 1999 and revised in 2008.

The preamble begins with the sentence: "The right to information, freedom of expression and criticism is a fundamental human right."
