The Oederan adventure pool is a Saxon outdoor pool between Chemnitz and Freiberg . It is operated by the city of Oederan .

history

On February 14, 1921, the Oederan city council decided to build an outdoor swimming pool. The facility opened on June 3, 1922. The swimming pool was 50 meters long and 18 meters wide. The deepest point was 2.60 meters.

At the beginning of the 1960s, the bathroom was dilapidated. The city officials closed it in 1962. In 1964 the basin was blown up. Then the new building began. The bath was reopened on June 22, 1968.

At the beginning of the 1990s, the bathroom no longer seemed up to date. In 1993/94 the city of Oederan built a completely new facility. Three pools were created, a sports and swimming pool with a maximum depth of 3.95 meters, an adventure pool and a paddling pool. The outdoor facilities have been continuously expanded since the mid-1990s.
