Premiere

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The first performance (EA for short) is - in contrast to the first public performance (the world premiere , UA) - the first performance of a stage play or musical work in a translation. Therefore, such performances are often called z. B. "German-language premiere" (DSE) announced. The term and the distinction is already in use in the 18th century. In addition to the first performance in another country, e.g. B. Austrian premiere, the first performance in another location is also referred to as "First performance in Jena".
