First private technical college in Schweinfurt

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Erste Private Fachoberschule Schweinfurt (EPFoS) was a technical college founded in Schweinfurt in 2011 , which was combined with the First Private Realschule Schweinfurt and the Private Business School Müller in the private sponsorship of the Private Schools Schwarz . After two years it closed its operations. The school emphasized a family atmosphere with small classes under the motto "Learning - free from fear and excessive demands"

First vintage

In 2013, the first graduation class of the two-year technical college at EPFoS wrote the centrally placed Bavarian examination for the vocational diploma. None of the 27 students passed the written test. In the core subjects of mathematics and economics, the year had an average grade of less than one point, reported the " Süddeutsche Zeitung ".

According to some students, the teachers were overwhelmed in teaching the material as well as in the grading. The Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation (BR) reported that lessons were canceled for a long time . A spokesman for the Bavarian Ministry of Culture said: "It would be highly unlikely that 27 students would fail the exams through their own fault."

As a consequence of the debacle, the school will cease teaching for the 2013/2014 school year.
