Eruthu Paar Kodi (Watch the Flag Rise) is a Tamil Eelam song , traditionally sung when the Tamil Eelam flag is raised . It is the most widely used anthem of the Tamils and is therefore identified by many as the national anthem of Tamil Eelam. The anthem was created during the civil war for the independence of the Tamil territories in Sri Lanka and is now common among the Eelam Tamils as well as in the Tamil diaspora.
