The Espera-Werke GmbH is an international manufacturer of weight and price labeling systems for variable and equal weight Laureates packs. The company's headquarters are in Duisburg , North Rhine-Westphalia.

history

The company was founded in 1924 as a "control and weighing factory". In 1927 the production of the first illuminated picture scale was started, in 1959 the first electronically calculating scale in the world was developed. With the production of the Constellation scales, the company succeeded in gaining a foothold on the international market.

Espera has subsidiaries in Belgium, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Spain, the USA, Canada and Mexico. The company has agencies in Australia, Israel, Russia, South Africa and South America.
