The Estadio Belvedere is a stadium in the Uruguayan capital Montevideo and is located in the Belvedere district . It was built in 1910 and now holds 10,000 spectators and is currently mainly used as a football stadium.
On August 15, 1910, the Uruguayan national soccer team played their first game against the Argentine national soccer team (2: 1) in the Estadio Belvedere . The Montevideo Wanderers used to play their home games here, which is what Liverpool Montevideo does today .
