Estrela de Cantanhez Futebol Clube , mostly Estrela de Cantanhez FC , is a Guinea-Bissau football club from the Parque Nacional de Cantanhez National Park .

The club welcomes its guests to the 1,200-seat Estádio da Estrela in Cubucaré .

history

In the 2013 season, the club managed to win the national cup Taça Nacional da Guiné-Bissau as a third division club . In the final, he beat the club Tigres de São Domingos from São Domingos, also in the third division, 3-1 on penalties. He then lost to the national champion CF Os Balantas in the country's Supercup, the Super Taça Nacional , with only 0: 1 on December 28, 2013 .

With the cup victory, the Estrela de Cantanhez FC qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup . In the CAF Confederation Cup 2014 he was drawn in the first round as an opponent of the Liberian club Red Lions , but could not compete for financial reasons.

The club rose to the second division in 2014, the Campeonato Nacional da 2.ª Divisão , and after the 2015 season he was finally promoted to the first division, the Campeonato Nacional da Guiné-Bissau .
