European Interparliamentary Space Conference

The European Interparliamentary Space Conference (EISC) has been held annually since 1999 and is attended by representatives of the governments and space organizations of the ESA and EU member states and international observers. The aim is to discuss a common European space policy.

history

The EISC was founded in 1999 by parliamentary groups from Germany, France, Italy and the United Kingdom by adopting a “Charter of Interparliamentary Cooperation”, the 1999 statutes. The statutes were expanded in 2006 and 2011.

Members

The statutes differentiate between full members, associate members, observers and guests. The parliaments of the following states are full members:

Russia is an associate member.

Chair

The chair changes annually and is determined by the full members. The previous chairman and the next one support the incumbent chairman and form a trio with him. The previous chairmen:
