European Microscopy Society

The European Microscopy Society (EMS) is an umbrella organization of 28 national scientific microscopy societies in Europe.

EMS emerged in 1998 from the Committee of European Societies of Electron Microscopy founded in 1978.

The EMS is a regional subgroup of the International Federation of Societies for Microscopy .
