European Society for Aesthetics
The European Society for Aesthetics ( European Society for Aesthetics ) is a scientific society in the field of studies of aesthetics .
The society was founded in November 2008 at a meeting at the University of Friborg (Switzerland) . As a research forum, the Society's stated aim is to “promote philosophical and other academic research and teaching in the field of aesthetics and art theory, and to facilitate exchanges between those who carry out these activities in different parts of Europe and in different traditions pursue European aesthetics. ”To this end, the society organizes regular international conferences to discuss aesthetic research questions and issues publications on these topics or endeavors to support such publications.
